Is Yoga a religion?
No, Yoga is a philosophy, not a religion. A religion defines God in terms of a specific faith. A philosophy guides one's lifestyle. From seminary study and meeting people from Buddhist, Hindu, Jain, Sufi, Taoist, Shinto, Naturalist, Jewish, and Christian, I witnessed no problems for these people to perform yoga and remain faithful in their personal religion.
What exactly is a retreat?
A retreat is time that you take for yourself, away from the concerns and routine of daily life. It can be a vacation, a renewal and reinvigoration of your spirit, a place to challenge yourself, a place to be alone or a place to be surrounded by like-minded people. Or it can be a combination of all of these.

How will a change of environment be beneficial to a person?
The mind grows so used to something very easily so much so that we are so used to things at home. This is when someone is in their comfort zone. One can never experience or discover their real nature if he or she does not expose him or herself to change. That is why it will be a form of test to someone by doing something completely different.
Are the massage therapists male or female?
They are all ladies but we can arrange a male therapist if there were prior request.

No. The nearest one would be at the Underwater World which is about 5 minutes away from the resort by car.

Yes.
Can I use my mobile phone?
Yes. If you do not hold a Malaysian number, you will need to subscribe for international roaming coverage through your network provider.
Is the water safe to drink?
No if it is straight from the tap. It has to be boiled. But do not worry as you can purchase bottles of mineral water from supermarkets.
Is Langkawi safe?
It is one of the safest places in South East Asia.
Is smoking permitted?
We do not encourage smoking as it will defeat the purpose of a retreat, which is to detoxify our body.
If I am not flexible can I do yoga?
Yes, you may do yoga even if you are not flexible. Do remember not to push yourself. If you remain relaxed while performing the yoga postures and you accept your body as it is, you have no trouble. The other point to remember is that stretching is only a small part of yoga and that relaxation, attitude, meditation, breathing and other lifestyle factors are also yoga.
I am overweight, can I still do yoga?
Yes, you can still do yoga. Yoga does not discriminate. With help from yoga's philosophy, you may be motivated to follow the yoga lifestyle that includes healthy diet, exercise, yoga postures, breathing, meditation, study and positive attitude. As you balance your life by minimizing stress, your body weight and metabolism may normalize.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that moves when you move is the best choice. Baggy clothing may hamper movement and makes it more difficult for the instructor to check for safe alignment.
